Re-Hired is a short film based on the original script of Memento seeking 2 male actors (20-45)
Re-Hired is a short film based on the original script of Memento. The film directed by Christopher Nolan in 2000 is about a man, suffering from short-term memory loss, uses notes and tattoos to hunt for the man he thinks killed his wife. For the purposes of a university film production assignment, a scene from the film has been re-written but with the basic concept remaining intact. Re-Hired takes the idea of the short term memory loss and reveals a more comedic side to it.
Synopsis

The plot revolves around a business executive (Leonardo) who suffers from short term memory loss. He must hire a new assistant the catch is that he already has he just does not remember. On Burt's (the assistant) first day of work Leonardo thinks that he has come in for an interview. Leonardo begins interviewing Burt only to realise half way through that he already has hired this man. Once realising this Leonardo gives Burt his first assignment which is to find a man called Teddy, who Leonardo needs to fire.
Auditions: 16th of September between 10:30am till 2:30pm for both roles of Leonardo and Burt.
- The film is unpaid, but DVD copies of the completed film plus uncut footage for you show reel will be provided.

Leonardo Business Executive age 25-45
Males, aged 25 to 45 from New South Wales, Aus
Leonardo is a Business executive, his character will possess short term memory loss. A male who is well presented is needed, preferably dark hair, tall and slim figure. The character also calls for an actor who has the ability to grow a beard. The part requires a professional actor as the dialogue is from the original script of Memento. As this is a challenging role, someone with experience is preferred but is not essential.

Burt Business Assistant
Males, aged 20 to 35 from New South Wales, Aus
Burt is a younger male who is applying for an assistant job. Applicant must also be neat and professional. Any hair colour is appropriate, slim figure preferred but not essential. The role is not as challenging as that of Leonardo, but still requires professionalism.
