A Severin Gammon short.
“What if humanities selfishness brings them closer to the gods? What is the reaction of those that are higher beings and have always caused trouble to humans?”
Shooting will be taking place on December the 1st in Stoke-on-Trent and will require high quality acting due to time constraints on the location, this self funded film also has no external funding and I will therefore only be able to provide travel costs and a copy of the final film in a format of the actors choice (DVD, VHS, DV). The final film is being made with short film festivals in mind, those held in both the UK and Europe.
Details about the film:
Based in a skyscraper above a night time cityscape, two demigods take a break from their mischief to have a discussion about humanities ascension in the world, though ultimately their antics will continue despite human advancement that brings them close to replacing the demigods with their selfish behaviour.
Visual Style:
The lighting style will be modelled on the lights of the city, with orange and white glowing light. The two demigods will be styled upon Greek gods by their actions, but will have modern clothing, and will be revealed as demigods later through the use of light and chroma key effects.
Sound Design:
Sounds from the city below will influence the dialogue heavy script, some effects will also be used upon the dialogue such as echo and increased bass sounds.

Characters:
Damian
From the Greek name Damianos which was derived from the Greek damao “to tame”
Damian is the mischief maker of the two demigods; he likes to make things difficult for humans and feels it is his duty to cause trouble and not to think about the bigger picture in life, though his close friend Phil can often draw him into such conversations between their antics.
Phil
Derived from Greek Philos meaning “friend”
Phil is an easy going character likes to have fun but also likes to think about things occasionally, something Damian his close friend does not like but gets drawn into.
Auditions:
Auditions will be held in Stoke-on-Trent on November the 24th,25th and 26th, please only apply if you can make one of those dates and the shoot day December 1st,

Due to the nature of the film this role is open to anybody male between the age of 25-40 of any appearance. Casting will be based upon the portrayal of Damian - a strong personality, a hint of mischief, and accent, common English that is open to some interpritation.

Males, aged 25 to 40 from the United Kingdom
Again due to the nature of this film this role is open to anybody between the age of 25-40 and of any appearance. Casting will be based upon the portrayal of Phil - a slightly passive and easy going but thoughtful character, with the accent of common English that is open to interpretation.
